about

Written in 2006, this song was inspired by Bob Ryan's book "Celtics Pride" about the 1974 Celtics championship team. There was a line in there about how much the Celtics struggled in Phoenix and they'd be lucky to make it out of the desert alive. It ended up turning into a song about psychedelics more than basketball.

We release the demo version of the song today in tribute to the greatest basketball writer ever on the day of his retirement from the Boston Globe.
